Variables
Bushtit
Near the coast, it occurred the most disproportionately in hexagons
with April maximum temperature (hex. max.) of 14-18 C. Farther
east, it occurred mostly in hexagons with elevation (hex. avg.) of less
than 1333 ft., especially if they contain more than 4% juniper
woodland, and in hexagons with relatively varied topography or
located in the southeastern part of the state. The logistic regression
analysis showed positive or negative association with modified
grassland (Northeast Oregon), Douglas-fir - w. hemlock - red cedar
forest, elevation (hex. avg.), April minimum temperature (hex. max.),
May minimum temperature (hex. max.), the extent of public land,
and-to a lesser degree-Douglas-fir - white fir - tanoak - madrone
mixed forest.
